Star Jobs
What are Star Jobs? The Labor & Economic Analysis Division has collected data on North Carolina's most in demand occupations and has created the Star Jobs listings, a methodology for ranking and presenting the information. North Carolina's 5-Star Jobs represent occupations with the greatest projected employment potential through 2022. Occupations were rated from 1-5 stars based on wages, projected growth rates, and projected job openings. They are then sorted by education level and and prosperity zone. Triangle South local area includes two prosperity zones. Lee, Chatham, and Harnett are in the North Central Prosperity Zone and Sampson is located in the Sandhills Prosperity Zone.
Triangle South Economic Scan Report 2016
The Triangle South Workforce Development Board works closely with North Carolina's Department of Labor and Economic Analysis to develop a report that is designed to bring together labor and economic information in an easily readable format that is focused just on the Triangle South Local Area. The report is intended for use by everyone in the employment chain including labor service providers and educators, employers, government, and individual members of the workforce. The 2016 report includes an updated S.W.O.T (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis.
